Best rebate credit card my personal preference

Why you need rebate credit card? It is to get rebate from your usual spending for further spending. Not the other way round.

1. Public bank visa signature

Pro
Rebate 6% on online transaction, dining, groceries.

Cons
Need annual income of 80k
Max cap at 38 per month which covers spending up to 638 per month.
No covering on petrol, other retails

Personal comment
Very easy to use with visa paywave. Give you 6% rebate on almost all dining places I went. Groceries spending eg Hiro market, tesco and 99 speedmart also widely available.

Additionally= annual fee 388 first year waived, subsequent year waived with minimal 12 swipes per year

2. Maybank 2 cards gold/platinum
Pro
Rebate 5% during weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
5x Treatpoints
Covering every spending during weekend, including online transaction and billing
Capped at 50 per month which covers up to 1000 spending per month
Cons
Only rebate with Amex which have limited merchandise
Only rebate during weekends

Personal comments
Now getting easier to use amex in all major malls eg aeon, parkson, tesco etc. So basically cover all groceries spending. Easy to use in petrol eg petronas and petron too. Can use to buy flight ticket eg airasia and book hotel eg agoda as well.
Pretty easy to accumulate Treatpoints too.

3. Public visa and master quantum
Pro
Visa quantum 5% rebate department store and entertainment
Master quantum 5% rebate online transaction and dining
Cons
Max capped 30 per month covers spending up to 600 per month per card
No petrol or other retails rebate

Personal comment
Good with dining and online transaction. Department store and entertainment choice a bit limited.

4. Maybank Barcelona visa signature
Pro
2% rebate on everything except may and August
10% rebate during may and August
Max capped at 50 per month except may and August
Max capped at 100 during may and august
Cons
Only 2% rebate bit too low
Minimal annual income 40k

Personal comments
The only card you want to use during may and August. Good coverage on other spending if you don't have other cards.

Others Citibank rebate(too many term and condition), standard charted (too troublesome on payment, need spending up to 1k), cimb rebate (rather useless), aeon (got annual fee unless 12x swipe and troublesome and surcharge on payment), uob (got annual fee)
